All actor headshot sessions are shot in an indoor studio located just outside of Detroit, Michigan. While all other sessions are located in and around Metro Detroit area, my favorite places for seniors are my favorite parks or in the alley way downtown. I am known for my warm soft golden light, so I have taken the time to scope out the best places with the most vibrant light highlighting my signature look. While most people love to stay close to home for convenience, I will consider traveling outside the Detroit area to a special location for your session.
How do we make a payment or place a deposit?
I accept Venmo, Checks or good ole fashion cheddar. Note: Cash only to be given to make-up artist at time of photography shoot.
When will we see our images?
Actor headshot session proofs arrive within 2 - 4 days of the session and delivery of final shots, once chosen, typically arrive approx. 2 days after that. Dynamic Professional Headshots, depending on the length of the shoot, is about the same as above. Luxe Senior Sessions depending on package and ala carte items typically take up to 1 week for delivery once they have been ordered.
Do you have a cancellation policy?
Re-scheduling due to inclement weather — we do live in Michigan and it is at the sole discretion of the photographer and are not given for regretful personal choices such as hair and clothing decisions. If you’ve booked a gig and need to reschedule, please try to do so at least 24-36 hours prior to your session. If you are feeling ill, please call to reschedule. I understand that sometimes this happens and would rather you stay home and focusing on healing yourself back to health.
What do we wear?
I am always asked ‘What should I wear?” and “How many outfit changes should I book?” Let's get on the phone and talk about YOU and what your goals are right now. Based on your ideas, experience, goals and talents, we send you a one of a kind branding questionnaire packet to help cohesively solidify your brand. Once this is completed, I send you outfit guidelines, tips, suggestions based on capturing your brand. Look at my galleries to get inspiration!
Here are a few guidelines for clothing choices that should help — try and stay away from logos that will be a distraction, white tends to be too bright and does not photograph well in many situations. All shirts MUST be freshly ironed. Jeans are always fun and can be mixed with just about anything. Layers are my favorite! It gives depth and texture to an image, plus it is fun to work with. Pair a nice t-shirt with a button up or a sweater and then add a jacket and a scarf to top it off. Chunky necklaces are awesome and photograph nicely, and remember complimentary colors work better than everything the same color. If you have very distinct eye color, clothing that matches compliments and highlights to goal of keeping your images alive from the sparkle in your eyes. If you wear transitional glasses, please don’t use them for our session. If you’ve got another pair, feel free to bring them. For further clothing samples look at the galleries on my website or here’s a helpful tip - go on Pinterest and look at inspiration boards like Inspirational Senior Photos, Outfits for Headshots and have fun with it! Bring your own unique vibe to the shoot, I love sassy, I love unique, I love capturing YOU.

Please feel free to bring snacks and any essentials to the shoot in case we need to take a break. Please hydrate as best you can and refrain from those salty chips and flights of beers the night before. Yikes, ain’t nobody got time for bloating. Men a good tip is to bring chap stick!
